The coronavirus pandemic has upended our daily lives and is causing increased stress and anxiety for many. Here we offer resources to help the LGBTQ community during this time. You will find information on local organizations, virtual peer support groups, and helplines.

  • Baltimore LGBTQ COVID-19 Resource Site
  • LGBTQ National Hotline provides confidential peer-support, information, local resources, and more. 888-843-4564
    • Online Peer Support Chat – connect one-to-one through instant message with a peer support volunteer. Chat hours are Monday – Friday from 4:00 PM -12:00 AM
    • Youth Chat Room Lounge – A weekly moderated chat room for young people ages 19 and younger to talk in a safe space and be able to express themselves without fear of being made to feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. Hours: LGBT Teens: Tuesdays 4-7 PM and Wednesdays 4-6 PM (Pacific Time); Trans Teens: Thursdays and Fridays 4-7 PM (Pacific Time).
  • The Trevor Project provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ young people under 25. Call or text 1-866-488-7386, trained counselors are here to support you 24/7
    • Trevor Space is an affirming international community for LGBTQ young people ages 13-24. Join active discussions on TrevorSpace to ask tough questions and get advice and support from other members in similar situations.
  • Pride Center of Maryland
    • Operations: Center is open on a modified schedule: 10 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday. Staff are on staggered shifts or working remotely. 
    • Available services: free meal distribution (10:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday); peer navigation, linkage to health services, online support groups
  • TransHealthcare MD  promotes trans wellness throughout Maryland by increasing access to affirming services and resources.
