Advocacy

The Mental Health Association of Maryland’s public policy team works with the Maryland legislature, members of Congress, government officials, and other stakeholders to advocate for laws and policies that improve access to quality mental health and substance use treatment for all Marylanders.

Outreach and Education

MHAMD’s community outreach and education provide Marylanders of all ages with information to improve their understanding of behavioral health, increase knowledge of effective interventions, reduce stigma, and strengthen pathways to care.

Services Oversight

MHAMD's consumer quality team helps improve quality oversight of the public mental health system by recording and addressing individual consumers' satisfaction with the services they receive.

Training

MHAMD's Mental Health First Aid® training course helps people learn how to respond to a behavioral health concern or crisis. Engage with™ trains older adult caregivers in how to engage in healthy working/caring relationships.
