Pause, Process, Respond: Emotional Regulation | Mind Your Mind Mondays
Mind Your Mind Mondays is a fun and engaging weekly support group for older adults to connect, discover ways to keep their brains healthy, and explore valuable resources for mental wellness and aging with confidence! Sessions meet weekly over Zoom on Mondays from 11:00 AM -12:00 PM.
This supportive session explores how thoughts, emotions, and reactions are connected in everyday life. Together, we’ll discuss simple ways to pause during stressful moments, better understand emotions, and respond in calmer and more intentional ways. Healthy coping skills and clearer ways of expressing feelings will also be introduced in a welcoming space that reinforces emotional regulation as a skill that can be learned and strengthened over time.
Participants will leave with:
- A better understanding of the connection between thoughts, emotions, and reactions
- Simple tools to pause and respond more intentionally during stressful moments
- Healthy coping strategies for managing emotions
- Increased confidence in expressing emotions and communicating needs clearly
