Engage with® Older Adults Skills Training - Core Skills Part 2

The Engage with® Older Adults Skills Training Program is designed to help anyone who regularly interacts with older adults—whether you’re a caregiver, healthcare worker, first responder, librarian, or customer service professional. This training gives you the tools to build deeper, more meaningful connections by teaching respectful communication, de-escalation strategies, and ways to better understand older adults, including those experiencing cognitive challenges like dementia.

Maryland Social Workers and Licensed Counselors may earn up to 3.75 CEUs for completing Parts 1 and 2 of this training. Please note that partial credit is not possible.

Engage with® Older Adults CORE SKILLS CERTIFICATION

We are offering a two-part, 4-hour Core Skills Certification program. This course provides critical training to improve your interactions with older adults—helping you reduce resistance to care, strengthen relationships, and enhance daily interactions. Upon completing both the Core Skills Part 1 and Core Skills Part 2, you’ll also gain access to our Demonstrating Respect game and a Reference Guide to reinforce what you’ve learned. Learn more about the Core Skills Curriculum here: www.engagewith.org

Please note that all sessions are run in a virtual training center. A stable internet connection and computer, laptop or tablet with external keyboard and speakers is required to successfully complete this training.
