Teach-Back: Part One
Practice makes progress. During this highly interactive session, participants will teach a selected portion of the Mental Health First Aid curriculum in a supportive environment and receive coaching from experienced National Trainers and fellow instructors.
Participants should select the curriculum section they would like to practice prior to the session, allowing facilitators to tailor feedback and coaching efficiently.
Possible practice topics include
- ALGEE Action Plan
- Suicide
- Psychosis
- Panic Attacks
- Scenarios
- Other participant-selected curriculum sections
Complete all five Peer Practice Sessions and receive the Level Up Your MHFA Instruction Certificate of Completion in recognition of your commitment to professional growth and excellence in Mental Health First Aid instruction.
Please Note: Sessions hosted by the Mental Health Association of Maryland are only able to serve those who live or work in the state of Maryland. While MHAMD runs Mental Health First Aid programming across the state of Maryland, many of our policies and platforms are run by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing (NCMW). We may need to refer instructors to the NCMW in some cases.
