Every child, every need

The Caring for Every Child's Mental Health Campaign is an outreach project to educate parents, teachers, caregivers, policy makers and all caring adults about mental health and mental illnesses in children.

Our Campaign emphasizes that:

children of all ages can have mental health problems

mental health problems in children are treatable

with treatment, children can get better

stigma should not cause adult caregivers or the child to reject treatment due to shame, embarrassment or prejudice.

Since the Campaign's inception, we have delivered,
produced and distributed over 900,000 pieces of literature, exhibited at more than 350 health fairs, and conducted
media campaigns reaching over 17 million Marylanders
with campaign messages.

"Promoting mental health for all Americans will require scientific know-how, but even more importantly, a societal resolve that we will make the needed investment. The investment does not call for massive budgets; it calls for the willingness of each of us to educate ourselves and others about mental health and mental illness, and to confront
the attitudes, fear, and misunderstanding that remain as barriers before us.”
